Is everyone else at work fake? Am I the only real one?

Some of my bosses are liars. Little, larger things. Its ridiculous. One even went out his way to make me a promise and then didn't keep it. Like wth? And on top of it, this same boss has such a phony personality. You can't tell who he is. I have seen multiple sides of him and that just tells me the face he usually has on is phony nice... Like I don't know what demons he has in him. Nobodys perfect but damn.

If i have a change in personality its there whether i am at work or not. I am always nice and cordial though thats just who i am. But if i become less shy of a person, i dont keep acting shy at work. My self permeates my whole life.

These people really are horrible leaders!

Hopefully not, but its important to remember that you come in contact with fake people you're entire life.

Why do they act fake? Is it cause they feel like its a shortcut to get whatever they want from others like approval or promotions or money or whatever? It must be because it hust boils down to selfishness. Having a fake personality and telling lies big or small is selfishness.

Ah... You know there was a guy who flirted and chased me so hard at work. He was flirting to the last day and acting concerned about my personal struggles. Thats almost 2 darn years. I found out months into it BY ACCIDENT that he had a girlfriend the whole time and now he left the job in like January but i had no idea he was leaving, dont know where or why he went and he has never reached out to me. Lmao. The good part is often you can tell whos fake early on as they give off signs. Its just my job to not let my heart believe the fakeness just cause it feels better to live in that fairytale they set up.
