The way inflation happened in this country just feels unfair. It's annoying to grow up thinking I could have a job making $600 a week and afford a basic lifestyle of an apartment, a car, internet+phone and the ability to go out every once in a while. Now to do that you need to making upwards of 1k a week.

yes, to some degree.
gas going up, and everything else as well.
we just aren't driving as much, at least one of my motorcycles get 56mpg.
we aren't going out to eat as much, going to movies on tuesdays when it is $5.00 during the day.
just cutting back a bit.

Oh yeah, I walked out of Walmart the other day with half a bag of groceries for $120, drove to the gas station and spent another $120. Maybe it’s just the stuff I buy, but comparatively, this was $60 worth of groceries and I could fill my tank completely for about $40. Overall many of my costs have almost tripled.

Yeah... I just paid over $40 for a furnace filter that used to cost me less than $20. My wages have increased quite a bit as well though so it hasn't been too painful.

My 401k has lost 6 figures, gas is up to $4 a gallon, groceries are all up.
