I voted someone and told my family about it. My aunt called me a lying backstabbing bitch and stupid f**k for voting a politician different than them. I just dont like why she need to call me that

I couldn’t care less. My father is a right winger, and so is my mother. My grandparents are centrists and so am I.

I lean slightly towards the left. I do not discuss politics with my mother because she does not like my views and does not even care to respect it.

Your aunt should mind her own business. She has no say in which politician you vote for. Let her say whatever she wants. Live and learn. Next time, do not discuss poly tics with your family. Set some boundaries. Talk to your parents about this. Your aunt needs to watch her language.

We usually dont talk politics but last presidential voting I sat my fam down to discuss with them why I choose outside fo the main parties. They are still engrained in following the majority of the community and voting a certain party so i’ll let them continue to be followers and not think for themselves.

If you want to see a family reunion turn into a brawl start talking about politics. Sports can do the same because there is always a family members that like a different team then others. Or you can talk about such things if you are a fan of creating chaos like me. Because you know that doing so is highly likely to create chaos at a family reunion. So the conversation is like walking around a family reunion with a gas can full of gas and a lighter.

Everyone's vote is their own. That said, I don't know anyone in my family that voted for Biden regardless if they were life long Republicans, Democrats, or Independents. Everyone was like fuck that guy and voted for Trump. All the Democrats are like I'm not that sort of Democrat... They are fucking crazy. Most of them have mentioned that they are going to change to Independents.

no, that is part of being an American
you have the right to vote for who you want.
That said some families are staunch republican or demecrat.
you will get disowned if you vote differently from your families beliefs no matter how much of a butt wipe their candidate is.
It's sad but it still exists today.

This why things are the way they are now positions rely on people voting for the same party no matter what they do or say once we vote everyone out on both sides of the isle then things will never change vote for people that want term limits and independents that don't have a lot of power
