I don't know whether Korean is more than being a citizen of Korea but I wish to talk about transgender. It's really sad to see people using freedom of speech to justify being inconsiderate and selfish. It takes nothing for me to call them by their new gender. All the pain I cause by not calling them by their new gender is borderline evil. It cost us nothing to do it. When someone says that, people then go and belittle the issue and say "Okay then I want to be called Your Majesty" as if it is the same thing. They must not understand even the base level.
Honestly I don't even fully look at it as a transgender issue. I see it as history continuing to repeat itself and human nature revealing itself over and over again.
And although, I don't know whether Korean is solely a nationality or more, I have thought race should be denounced for a while now. Why try to cure racism when we can just get rid of what allows it to exist? Race isn't real in material anyway. Race is so dumb that 2 black people can be more biologically different than a white person and a black person are different...

You can be whatever you want, you cannot however expect OTHERS to conform to what you want. If you change your gender, don't expect others to call you what YOU want, that would be taking someone else's freedom of speech away.
I know if my work says we have to call people what they want, I'm going to go for "Your majesty" if they can force us to call people by their chosen identity... might settle for "Goddess" as another option.
So I can identify as a Mermaid Princess and people will have to refer to me as one? I mean where do we draw the line. I'm all for people being who they want as long as they don't expect society to change everything we know and believe to accommodate you.
You can ask people to refer to you as anything you one, ie, social defintions Vs scientific ones. Really race and gender only matters with your doctor.
I’m sure they are. We’re tribal and like to stick together in groups. But race needs to dissipate. Not forgotten, like historical sins. But we need to leave it be.
I just want to make sure we understand each other. Every single racist at GaG talks about the bad behavior of the race he thinks is inferior. Which of course, 99% of the time is the "Black" race. The funny thing is racists aren't just racist against "Black" folks. They just work in this weird dynamic where they think they can convince other races that "Blacks" are bad. But we know how this works.
Back to my point. Racism is essentially not about skin color. It is about culture. And a racist wants a "Black" person to admit their culture is horrible and inferior. . . and the only way they can be saved is by embracing "Whiteness", "White" standards, "White" thinking, and "White" supremacy.
I def agree with you on racists. But I don’t base my ideas on them. I just see our society spinning with superfluous labels. Be they lgbt or race. Culture is different to me. And while it may overlap technically, I just wish as labels we stop identifying by race.
Of course I’m also aware I’m a white guy born middle class with no history of discrimination. .
Well, we can pretend that racists do not exist. But they do. And race is very important to them. So we should seek to understand them, even as they cannot understand themselves.
But let's just say the folks who have common sense and good intentions wanted a conversation.
That conversation must be on the basis of culture and not on the basis of race. Do you understand? We would build a conversation including all these disparate groups in America, Apache, Sioux, Puerto Rican, Chinese-American, Korean, "Black", "White", Spanish, Jamaican, Nigerian, Scottish, Indian, Turk, etc. . .
We would build a multicultural conversation to talk about differences and how to negotiate them. That conversation can't include racists. And many liberals don't seem to understand the difference. Race is not apart of that conversation. You and I have a different upbringing, we probably have differences in holidays we celebrate, traditions we hold, histories we remember, etc. To pretend there is no conversation there is one of the biggest mistakes we can make. When we have these conversations, we are not discussing difference in the complexion of our skin. We are talking about the difference in our culture.
I get you. But she is talking about "minorities". There is no conversation with a person like that. You have to find some different tools. I don't know to convince racists that race doesn't exist. That is the founding principle that racism rests upon. And racists don't do science or objective fact.

Its a great idea. The more people do this stuff the easier it is to see the sicko whack jobs and stay away from them. If the man didn't wear a dress how would i know he was a whack job unless i got to know him. Now i can tell from 100 feet away with those hairy legs sticking out under the dress.
He's not Korean. He's White. People can't just change their race. You can have a sex change if you're over 18, fair enough, but we need to draw the line somewhere.

Personally I'm all for people being who they feel. But it doesn't mean I believe there's more than 2 genders.
I'll respect them to call them what they want. But let's say there's a woman who transitioned into a man and wanted to date me. I couldn't date them truly believing they are a man. But I'm not going to tell someone else they can't be who they feel they are.
