Is it okay to refer to humans as cockroaches?

If they enter the country illegally they are criminals.
You can't travel Europe without a visa/passport. Fact.
Liberals love using emotions to manipulate people. Lmao
That's why every pedophile listed on a community instagram page I follow is some undocumented immigrant.
At least 2/3s of them are
I know. It’s like people forget what the Hutus were calling the Tutsis in Rwanda.
That's pretty disgusting. No, I don't think it's okay to refer to human beings like that, especially people who are just looking to make a better life for themselves and their families.
It's a word. This isn't the past, this is the present.
who said this wasn't the present? try making some sense.
Ok, here I shall break it down for you. Bringing up Nazis puts your current mindset in the past (Nazi era and what they did to Jews). Which is contradictory to the present time, now, where you're worried about the word cockroach being used as a derogatory term that, in your question, should or should not potentially carry consequences.
Therefore, you have contradicted yourself considering the term doesn't mean the same thing in today's terms as it did back then making your entire point moot.
You're still not making any sense. Please try again but actually say something that isn't incoherent. Because if I pointed at water in 1940s and said "this is water", that would still hold up as much truth today if I pointed at water and said "this is water." In this case I'm pointing out an extremist calling a group of people cockroaches and I'm saying "this is dangerous" just as if someone in the 1940s would have called the Nazis dangerous.
If you're going to debate with me, please have a brain.
Ok, that's my bad because I had this in the wrong context. I didn't see the screenshot the last two times, so all it sounded like was you were upset someone called someone else a cockroach.
Now that I have more info, i get it. He called the flood of immigrants cockroaches which I didn't see before.
However, I still stand by the fact that it's a word and someone's opinion. You don't have to like it but it's his right to feel that way.
And no, that kind of thinking isn't 'dangerous'. It's completely harmless, and I think you're taking what he said in the wrong way. He made a comparison that he found fitting. He wasn't saying squash them like cockroaches.
so when someone hurts you because you're >insert something< than its okay because its the way he feels and your security or well being doesn't matter?
just like how the nazis found fitting language by calling jews rats. completely sickening.
How is he hurting you? Did he punch you in the face? Is he talking about you specifically? Hurt feelings and physical hurt are two very different things, and there is still no comparison here between what the Nazis did and his comment.
I've had people hurt my feelings over shit that I am and I roll it off. It's impossible to make everyone happy or like you all the time. And I'd take that over and over again vs getting beat or having guns pulled on me any day.

"During the Holocaust, Nazis referred to Jews as rats. Hutus involved in the Rwanda genocide called Tutsis cockroaches."
educate yourself.
So I'm uneducated because Nazis called Jews rats and I don't think this is the same thing? Nice.
I don't need to considering I have several books on the holocaust, which my family lived through. This isn't the same thing. He made a COMPARISON to the sheer number of immigrants coming through the borders to a cockroach infestation. He wasn't making a DEROGATORY comment about immigrants themselves being lesser.
Perhaps you should broaden your horizons a bit.
If i said "you look like a pig" (which might or might not be true) I wouldn't be calling you a pig, but it doesn't mean its not derogatory. Your arguments make 0 sense.
Actually, it's your argument that makes zero sense. You literally equated him comparing two things together to the fucking Holocaust that killed millions of people.
Sure, you could call me a pig which would be considered a derogatory remark. But at the end of the day it doesn't threaten my life.
the point of how the holocaust started was just with words and then it became violence. i linked you an article, or you could read one of your "many books" on the holocaust.
You're not getting the point. This was NOT name calling. He did not call immigrants cockroaches. Jesus, anything to be a victim though right? Anything to censor things that hurt your feelings.
The holocaust started with a lot more than name-calling. It started with social manipulation, mass hatred, and rallies. I don't even need to reread any of those books to know that. This is the most ridiculous and pitiful argument I think I've ever heard trying to, again, link the fucking Holocaust to something completely unrelated. I don't see any immigrants being slaughtered over here for being immigrants. I don't see anyone beating fucking immigrants because they're here.
I have seen a girl get raped by an immigrant who's been in and out of jail several times but the government refuses to send him back to his own country. I've seen a massive spikes in death related to drugs since the flood of immigrants have come in. There are pros and cons to everything, but the harsh truth is immigrants should not be coming here illegally, should be deported for inappropriate activities, and have more fucking rights here right now than the average American. Do better and stop using the holocaust as some kind of justification for it.
thats not the same argument. the argument we're having is whether or not its okay to compare to people to roaches, which has been used in the past to dehumanize people and murder them.
your arguments are contradicting and nonsensical.
Again, you're completely missing the point because you're too busy looking for ways to justify your mindset rather than being open to having an actual intelligent conversation.
What you did with YOUR comparison was much more insensitive than what the original poster said. There is a huge difference your missing and until your done feeling sorry for yourself you're never going to see it.
when you start making sense ill respond.

If he or she actually thinks of them as low as cockroaches it's pretty messed up.
No, that is dehumanizing and often leads to atrocities.
People like that should be banned from this site.
No.. so disgusting
