What do you think about these facts about murder?

It's a huge problem for the left. #1) These cities are, for the most part, run by democrats. #2) They virtue signal to the voters by passing ridiculous gun laws that obviously don't work and they know they don't work. #3) The biggest problem they have is punishing their base! They refuse to do it! They refuse to even talk about it. Bail reform, defund the police, throw money at the problem to keep them happy, anything other than putting these thugs in prison! Jesus Christ, the left is even pushing for prisoners being allowed to vote! What kind of message does that send? They refuse to acknowledge the problem because they don't want to offend criminals and to me, that is the biggest problem when it comes to gun violence.
That´s not a fact check. I think it´s too easy to look at the fact that those cities have gun controls because those cities are dangerous for a reason. Like they are the cities with the highest murder rates WITH gun control, like what would be the situation WITHOUT that. Sorry I don´t believe in the myth of the good guy that would start defend people with his gun. Like why does he need a gun to be good? The people that say they would be those guys do that for solely egozentric and narcissitic reasons.
Like you deliberately miss out that Chicago and Detroit and St. Louis have a high gang rate and are known to be poor and hopeless like if there is no way to get up going the legal way especially guys rather join a gang.
Like if these cities have a high criminal anyways. But that doesn´t disapprove the thesis that less strict gun laws wouldn´t help in cities and surroundings where people actually feel secure. Like most of Europe has close to none mass shootings and stricter gun laws.
You forgetting the fact that the majority of gun crime in those areas is carried out with firearms bought on the black market. Are market that is directly tied to the illegal drug trade. We are constantly spending billions in both man hours and money to shutdown the illegal drug trade in the US and abroad. We have been doing so since the 70's. So thinking more gun control and new regulations is going to have any real effect on the issue is illogical. Simply because that has been the answer since the 70's with the war on drugs and that's a wall we will more then likely never stop beating our heads on.
I think people on both sides of this debate are in dire need of a reality check. The world we live in is never going to be a utopia and it does not matter what side of the political isle in charge. Things like gun violence and the illegal drug trade are here to stay. All we can do is try to minimize the impact of both.

It's bullshit of course.
How homicides are recorded and calculated in the US differs from state to state.
You cannot cherry pick one states stats from another.
