Does a person home in the USA have protection with the Fourth Amendment?

The Fourth Amendment has been in place for over 200 years. In that time, America and the world have changed drastically. Nations have literally come and gone within that time, and yet the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights have remained steadfast. There does, however, remain a question of how one should interpret the text of Fourth Amendment.

With the advent of electricity, telegraphs, telephones, radio communication, and the Internet, the question of what the Framers of the Fourth Amendment intended is more important now than it ever has been before.

It's largely superseded as when it was written there was no FBI, NSA, cops squad or central oversight.

The key word there is "probable cause" which is just a nice way of saying "this is mostly all sophistry. If we suspect, that is good enough, and fuck your rights otherwise as what are you going to do anyway?"

This is why American was never a good European idea and history has shown that to be correct.

It protects against unlawful search and seizure.. If you get pulled over for speeding all an officer can do is look for anything in plain sight but cannot search a person's trunk without a warrant. If they try accusing you of hiding something then all you have to say is "am I under arrest"

Yes it does this means the government can’t come into your house without a just cause, like if you sold meth to a guy and they said where it they bought it. Then the government can come in with a warrent and search your house for meth. If you have court papers or personal medical records the government can’t come in and take those records without probable cars like if you’re trying to commit medical fraud

I'm far from an expert on this. But I assume that's what warrants are for. Now I dunno what all that entails so I'll leave it at that.
I've only had my car searched once. I was young and knew I had nothing to hide. I don't how I'd react now. But that's the point. Looking back on it they searched my car because I was acting nervous. Not because I was guilty of anything but because I was young and nervous lol. I understand why the cop might even thought I might be hiding something.

It's a tough one. The Fourth Ammendment also protects abortion. I honestly think the Supreme Court did some legal gymnastics to come to that conclusion.

Yes, with the Second Amendment. The bill of rights is manure without it.

I think it’s still adhered to but not as much as it should but it’s a good amendment
