By understanding human phycology they can see what headlines and news stories will earn the biggest profit. And thusly go after the stories that will sell the most. Well, as a European I don't really see why everyone gets so worked up about someone having consensual sex with more then one person.
It's certainly not something I see as a public matter.
Although if he did so without his wifes consent that's of course a a-hole move, but still between the two of them.
Someone actually doing anything against the will of the other however is a different matter.
And we know that Trump has done that plenty of times...
