It's just hard for me to put myself in their shoes. I've been slapped on the ass by a stranger before. It was a little disturbing but not so bad that I thought "hey let's publicly shame and ruin this person for the rest of their life"

Isn't it kind of weird that a woman's body is exclusively held to that standard?

Oh, so have no empathy. That’s kind of sociopathic, but admitting it is a good first step.
See, just because something doesn’t affect you terribly, doesn’t mean all other people are going to feel the same way. I have a right to not be smacked on the ass. And I have to right to be upset when people do it anyway.
And it’s not a matter of women having some exclusive standard, they are just less likely to want to be touched by people without permission. Perhaps it’s just a leftover from times when we didn’t have a choice about the things that happens to us.
Keep your hands to yourself, and you won’t have worry about being publicly shamed for the rest of your life.

You know what, I feel like I really just learned something. I do have a tough time being empathetic. Maybe because of my past.

But you are making me realise that this symbolizes a larger problem I have been trying to work on for a very long time.
