Not at all costs. Poverty should be a legitimate reason to seek asylum. However, having the U. S. burden all the financial responsibility is destroying any confidence the American people have in the Mexican government to do the right thing, and not doing the cartels bidding. I still don't know who is in control of the politics of the border. Is it the Mexican government,, or the cartels.

one of the biggest parts as to why America doesn't have many of the social programs that other countries have. is because the American military is policing the world so those other countries don't need to fund their own militaries. which means they can spend the money elsewhere. another part is America spends billions each year in aid funds to give many of those other countries. yet people from other countries still try to find a way to travel to America as refugees or illegal immigrates.
