I only want to ask guys for a reason. Especially if you've never been military.
I think this needs to be my new life motto. Seriously.

Nope, I live by the inverse, if it sucks, I either fix it, improve it, replace it, or ditch it.
I'm not the stoic adapting type, I'm the enjoy life to it's fullest and have lots of grandure and luxury and convenience and excitement type, I mold my surroundings to me, not me to my surroundings, I favor modern living over primal living.
I invent, I create, I learn, I put up a stink about things, I resolve problems, and I help others resolve problems, and I use things others invent/create if they make my life easier.
I'm a very clever and optimistic person with fixing things others can't (or give up on, or aren't patient enough to correct), and I remove negatives I can't fix, and there is a large list of things that upset most people but don't upset me. But for me to be more descriptive, I'd need you to provide examples.
Suffice to say though, I either give it my all to live exactly the life I want, or I die trying.
"I'm a very clever and optimistic person with fixing things others can't"
You already know mine. And you couldn't fix it. It is unfixable. But it is true that nothing bothers you, because you're even worse off than I am. But since you're anti-social basically, it doesn't bother you. You're also atypical, so you wouldn't care, anyway.
My whole point was, someone having a permanent negative/handicap, that's always there and can't be fixed. You can't just 'dismiss' it or ditch it. And by "you," I mean other people, not you.
I'm fairly sure you are referring to height.
There are lots of things that bother me, but I'd still be happy whether I was 4 feet or 8 feet or anywhere in between. Being hulk or hobbit sized would be neat too. So its very true that that particular situation doesn't bother me, so I would not see it as a problem. Any girl I'd like would probably date an elf or one of the mutants in the x-men series if they were real, plus most women are shorter than me.
However I have lots of problems I do intend to fix, many of which I'm sure wouldn't bother you, and some of which most people say can't be done (I imagine you would say that as well), but I'll figure it out even if no one else did yet, be it resolving a handicap, reaching a goal you think only possible in sci-fi. etc.
Also technically you can increase your height through surgery, but to me thats pointless and hazardous.
I'm not anti-social, I just pefer socializing with geeks, nerds, artists, gamers, animators, scientists, inventors, etc, people I relate to. And the female ones of those typically tend to not care about height. Plus I noticed you tend to prefer unsually tall women, most of the women I've liked were my height or shorter, but my preferences are relative preportion based, not scale based.
If something I dislike can't be ditched, Or something I like is not obtainable, then I figure out how to change that, and I keep trying until I succeed.
Right now my biggest problem is needing more knowledge to obtain what I want.
I kind of figured out the solution to my own problem a while ago too:
If you can't ditch it and it won't make you happy, then give up all goals that it prevents you from obtaining. You can't be mad if you no longer care. The "not caring anymore" is the hard part though and runs contrary to logical thinking.
I refuse to give up any of my goals, sometimes I warp the goal, like lets say something isn't possible to do because the laws of physics make it impossible, so I then set out to go do that in a virtual setting, where such laws can be ignored.
More or less - I subscribe to a similar motto, spoken by a young Scrooge McDuck after earning his first dime, and learning it was an American 10 cents, useless in his native Scotland.
Whatever does not kill me will make me stronger.

Absolutely yes. Stoicism is the way I’ve gotten through life and kept going.
