people that tend to come out with this, have never served etc. trying going to a military hospital and chatting to the 20yr olds with missing limbs etc. today is the 40th anniversary of the Falklands war and there were plenty young lads serving there.

First Gulf war, same thing lots of 18 -22 yr olds, ditto every other conflict.

People of all generations tend to be able to stand up and be counted when needed.

There are a load of young lads from UK, Canada, US fighting in as volunteers in Ukraine

I would say so, yes. Our society is way too comfortable right now. I grew up extremely hungry and I basically didn't know anyone else who had the kind of mentality that I did/do.
