How awkward is it seeing people you went to high school with?

How awkward do you feel when you run into someone you went to high school with and haven't talked to in a long time? Do you avoid them?

Sometimes it's pretty awkward. One time me and my (hot) boyfriend were walking around this mall and this girl I went to high school with turns the corner. She sees me and accidentally spills her coffee alll down the front of her shirt. Haha. I don't know if she was suprised I was with such a good looking guy. Me and my boyfriend keep walking and then my boyfriend says, "Did you see that girl spill coffee down her shirt?" And I'm like, "Yes. I went to high school with her. She's really stupid. She didn't know the difference between native and african Americans." lol.

Haha, that is always pretty awkward. I have been out of hs for two years now but even if I bump into someone that I haven't talked to in the past two years, I am still friendly. Unless you know they're a jackass I don't think there's anything wrong with smiling and saying hey, asking how they're doing, etc., then saying you gotta go and that it was nice seeing them.

I'm about to go to uni because I've just left high school (as you say) so it's not awquard...yet. But it is awquard seeing people from my primary school because they don't recognize me at all, I've changed too much. It's quite annoying actually when I give them that look of recognition, and their just like...why is that person staring at me.

I laugh in their sad existence. No really... the people I disliked now have a very sad and boring existence and my former friends have become double crossing, back stabbing halfwits (dude really was a halfwit, thought there was a strategy to winning Bingo). There are very few people from high school worth hanging out with.

I have about a handful of people whom are still my friends from High School and 90% of the people who was in my elementary school are my friends still (they went to high school with me too) and I recently added them all to my Facebook friends list and chit chat with them through messages.

Some high school guys though, who were the "popular" ones, I would like avoid because I don't think they would talk to me.

Yes, I avoid them, but mostly because I hate them, lol. The only person I still talk to from high school is my best friend. Everyone else from high school can go screw themselves. :D

Its awkward because I wasn't very popular at all, and was kinda awkward, but people are usually nice so its not a huge deal.
