I mean the pandemic and to make things worse, the Ukranian situation is hitting all over not just US.
Gas prices to the roof (even in the country I live), expensive lifestyle now, groceries getting expensive as well plus other things that are getting expensive too (utilities). Even now traveling I see it as a luxury or buying a new car at this current moment. Rich getting richer and poor getting poorer and the middle class people are aiming more to getting poorer.
I live in Costa Rica and gas prices are super expensive now, better to use public transportation but even so , there are some drivers who refuse to use public transportation and leave their car at home for some days a week, they want to use their car but they do criticize the gas is super high, the dollar Exchange rate is super high as well, groceries are becoming expensive too, some job salaries are not raised (due to the same probably crisis as that affect the companies and workplaces with their inner company expenses). But like there are salaries still low, there are some job positions where the salaries are good and those people the crisis is like do not belong to them and they still spend their money like nothing is happening. Costa Rica had always been an expensive country mostly due to bureocratic procedures, bad governments, corruption among other things and prices are expensive as if we are a 1st world country.
I see it where I live and when they post things on social media. Many people I know (relatives and Friends) are traveling internationally recently, mostly to Europe like the crisis do nto affect them in any way. They post photos of their pretty trips to other countries and how

they are spending their money, probably they earn good salaries and the crisis is zero to them. Others post photos of their outings to parties or socializing to restaurantd and spend their money on that. Others (young and old people) post photos of attending concerts here in the country where a ticket could be expensive and the stadiums or venues are all sold out. Also there are others who still pay gym memberships as for them that is a super important expense

At home we even change the supermarket where we used to go. Here even renting an a place to live is not cheap like it was, more people stay living with their parents as even living on your own is expensive unless you find a roomate maybe to share expenses. Im not saying you have to become a hermit and not go out at all sure you can, but you can make some changes in that kind of lifestyle, reduce certain unnecesary expenses, especially if you see the money is not enough in your house.
