There was an absolute female dominance in the amazon women's state that lived in Anatolia. While the women became warriors, the men were only found as slaves. Amazon women castrated little boys and made slaves by injuring their arms and legs, preventing them from becoming rebels.

From “recent” archeological finds and investigations etc, there is a belief these people did actually exist, however due to being romanticised by the Greeks, a lot of real history was glossed over.

Other than the Amazonian side of things, Celts also had warrior women, again a fair bit of romanticising but they did exist. If you have ever had to deal with a Irish girl or Scottish or Geordie girl losing their shit with you, it’s not really hard to see.

I said this already. Wonder Woman and the Amazon's come from the mythical island of Themyscira. The Amazon's progeny was continued by raiding ships that strayed to close to their island. They would rape the men, kill them and toss their lifeless bodies overboard.
I'm just guessing Marvel's "Wonder Woman" would not have went over so well to audiences if they had included this part of the mythology.
This really tells you a lot about our society. I mean Wonder Woman was superhuman. But she still had to feign being weak and feminine lest she be considered a threat to men.

Actually more likely true there is a tribe somewhere in the world that are like actual amazon women. They hunt and do all the men stuff while the men are the home makers, I remember reading about them along time ago but can't remember where they were from or what the tribes name was. So possibly not a myth but based on this particular tribe

All Greek myths are myths. There is no way to know if they existed, but what does exist is what they stood for.
Think of myth like comic book characters, so large that they are larger than life.

Not sure about the greeks. Doubful. But ironically, actual Amazon in south america had some matriarchal tribes where archers chopped off a breast.
