personally I think they should only be allowed in life threatening issues and if a rape victim proves she got raped… but hopefully this allows for people from BOTH genders to be RESPONSIBLE when ducking…. Not just carelessly going at it

I'm not terribly political, but I do have some views regarding abortion. After taking a few steps back from the emotional baggage that goes with it, I'd like to offer my thoughts.

Rights are a difficult thing to identify, but they need some clarification. Essentially, I believe two things in this regard: 1: You are responsible for the consequences of YOUR actions, and 2: You have a right to be exempt from outside damages.

That's where abortion gets tricky. Getting pregnant is usually an accident in situations where abortion is a concern. The question is, is it more of an outside damage, or the consequences of your actions?

In the case of rape or sexual abuse, the answer becomes much clearer. You had no choice, and the pregnancy really was forced on you. But in the case of a condom breaking, or not taking the pill, it is an accident, but you knew the risks.

Now, I'm not going to say I know how this should go, but I support the Supreme Court's decision. All they did was overturn that abortion was a right - they did NOT outlaw abortion. They revoked their position and returned it to the states to try by a more case-by-case business, which I fully support.

I think it's a good thing overall. I believe there are valid reasons for an abortion such as rape, incest, a threat to the life or health of the mother or fetus, and a mother who is under 18 and not in a position to be a mother. But the simple fact is that abortion has been primarily used as an after-the-fact form of birth control in most cases. If you look at studies about why women choose abortion, in the vast majority of cases it is purely a matter of convenience, and I think that is wrong. We need both men and women to be more responsible about sex and birth control, and having the safety net of abortion removed will encourage that.

I also think it's good that the power has been moved from the federal government to the states, which is how if should be. I'm sick of the overreach of the federal government that we have been seeing in recent years.

Let people live their lives the way they want. There are some married couples who don't want children, and even condoms aren't 100% effective. If you don't want people sleeping around, make prostitution illegal or something. Why force people to have children? I assure, many people are not really sluts, they just want to fuck their partner. Abortion regulation is not delegated nor prohibited by constitution, there's nothing, even indirect, about this topic there. So it should be left for each state to decide. Roe vs Wade was undoubtly validating this.
