Is letting guys fight when there in grade school a good thing?

So I love listening to Jorden Peterson. He brought up a concept to day with Fans De Waal talking about the male vs female aggression in primates and in human. In both species the males are better about reconciliation versus females and both humans and primates. Aren’t likely to reconcile the differences. For example if you guys get into a fistfied call Mario likely to within like 1520 minutes I’m getting in the best fade forget it and directions our differences in apologize women and female apes are Lasso and they tend to avoid the other females that brought on the aggression. I’d recommend going and listening to the entire podcast because it’s about 2 1/2 hours long and I’m only getting to the basics surface of what I listen to I’m very new to psychology when I go to see Jordan Peterson and psychology in general and the relationship between humans and apes I know history and politics so as you answer I’ll be nodding along and asking questions but I would definitely encourage anyone answering to go and listen to the entire podcast because it does way better job explaining it than I could ever do

While this may be true, I don’t suppose letting guys fist fight in grade school would be a great thing. There are real negative consequences to allowing this. Just because boys will reconcile afterwards doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous and a bad example. This difference you explain between men and women is one that goes far beyond reconciliation. From neuroticism to apes to lobsters, Jordan uses this same evolutionary principle to extrapolate on many differences. Often times when he explains differences between sexes, he isn’t saying thing’s should exactly be that way. He’s just trying to add foundation to his argument.

Oh and what happens at school ends in outside of school often with a major beating and possibly stabbing for someone.

oh yeah and standing back watching large bully beat up a smaller kid is great for the smaller kids mental health, knowing if he gets in to a fight he’s likely dead.

The idea definitely makes sense because I’ve seen it done by guys so many times, but I think realistically no school should condone violence especially with the amount of school shootings going on

I would agree (again listen to the podcast also I’m a weeb but i did not know about this one when it comes to Japanese society) I guess it’s quiet common to teachers not to brake up a fight, instead the send a old boy (senpai) to break up the fight if it got serious enough that they were going to kill each other instead golaway with broken bones or obviously one or the other has won the fight)

To reiterate I don’t condone fighting I’m just trying to get to the bottom of what I’ve heard of the podcast. It’s very deep and philosophical so this might take a while if you’re willing to answer

The podcast was 2 hours long I can’t remember the sites. He’s been in psychology in 1993 and has done a lot of his own research

i know he has some serious credentials but that doesn't exclude him from having to back up his claims. he's a political pundit before all, and i don't care about his politics here, i just want to mention that especially because of that it's important to check if there is actually any basis to what he's talking about

Actually he’s a psychologist before all he was forced to be political because he refused to adhere to the delusion that men can’t be women and women can be men and he would only use pronouns based in reality and not fantasy. Ben Shapiro is a political pundit not Dr Peterson

Right out the gate you bring nazis up. In books dating back to Tom Sawyer you got the boys getting into a fight I remember reading a little britches series. Where he got it so face was I think I said in late 1890s and goes through his entire life. By the way the Spartans practiced many of the same fighting tactics as the Nazis just saying it’s not a new contact.

We’re not forcing people to fight we’re talking about an eight-year-old kid standing up to his nine-year-old bully and they fight. Not Forced fighting for talking boys being boys
