More guns in the hands of honest citizens makes society safer.

Criminals are less afraid of the police than they are of nondescript armed citizens. They hate the idea that someone might be armed.

And I can't think of a case where an armed citizen caused collateral damage. Armed citizens tend to be very judicious in employing firearms. Many of them are better trained than police and have to operate within much stricter legal guidelines.

It's gangs that operate like the wild west, not honest citizens.

I did hear that. I’m glad more people weren’t killed. We need to get away from this mentality of diving disagreements with weapons in this country. My understanding is there was a fistfight, which I always support as a means of conflict resolution, but it sounds like a kid came back with a rifle, and it’s just wild to me that I live in a country that people around me might own rifles, that’s tough to wrap my head around.

In a random massive shooting there's always going to be people killed and wounded, anyone with a gun just can limit the potential damage if they can kill the shooter first.
