Why are white people so racist?

We tend to get stereotypes and race based ideas beaten into out head growing up that thanks to the illusory truth effect we come to believe are true. Despite having no real way to prove that it's true. So it's not that white people are racists or that every one other another race is racists towards whites. It's that at some point likely when we are growing up the repeated exposure to such ideas caused us to believe it's true. Because in general that is how the illusory truth effect works.

The crazy thing is that we never stop being susceptible to the effect and it can cause us to believe pretty much anything if we are exposed to the idea enough times. The short lived flat earth "movement" a few years ago is a great example of this. Because people effectively created their own personal echo chamber for the idea and came to believe it. Despite there being countless amounts of scientific data proving it to be false. Due to the illusory truth effect leading them to believe it due to repeatedly exposing themselves to the idea.

The scary thing about the illusory truth effect is that a lot of the studies proving it, even psychology based studies tend to use political propaganda from the world over as examples of how the effect works and how it can be used on people en mass. Also as tech has advanced and our access to information and conversations with others has increased, our sustainability to the effect has increased. Due to it becoming much easier for us to create echo chambers around ourselves.

Racist people are racist. Just because "White" Americans happen to have more issues with racism means nothing when it comes to folks in Europe or in other places.

In Russia, even as they may not like Africans too much, I can bet you they aren't feeling other Europeans that much either. And what is transpiring over there now will have an impact for decades.

Honestly the most racism I've seen was from Asians, they really hate blacks and dress it up in "traditionalism" but it's just racism. Somehow though they get away with it :D It's ok to have a racist Asian grandpa, it's almost like part of the deal... in my experience white people are afraid of even seeming racist and that might build that resentment in them, the fact that they can't speak their mind even with good intentions because someone will misudnerstand it. Blacks don't have that problem, they can be aggressively racist, insult us and even kill us in South Africa and nobody gives a fuck.

As a white person - be racist against me I really couldn't care less. I'm so happy to be white that nothing anyone could possibly say would make me feel anything negative about my race. My nation is white, if I weren't white then I couldn't be of my nation. And if you're all really as proud as you say you are then you wouldn't be phased either. Wear it as a badge of honour and it can't ever be used against you.

I wouldn’t word the question in this way. It’s not necessarily that white people are racist (though, yes, there are racist white people.) It’s that there are stereotypes that white people perceive of other races. Just as other races have perceptions of white people based on stereotypes, like this question, people can be racist no matter their race.

This stereotype is so ridiculous. You must be one of those people who believe the CRT teaching. They tell you that only white people can be racist and if you are black, you get a free pass. You should look up the word racism in an old dictionary. ( I said old because there are probably some "woke" dictionaries out there that have changed the meaning. )

If you are a black person and you dislike a white person because of their skin color, then you are a racist. Period. I live in a large city and I work with people of many races and. I see the most racism coming from black people. They either don't realize it, or they really believe that their skin color grants them immunity. From my personal experience, I think that the percentage of white people who are racist is well under 10% and the percentage of black people who are openly racist is better than 75% Martin Luthor King must be spinning in his grave right now.

Why are you an anonymous? Did you know that most of that charitable aid (money, clothes, food, teaching, medicine, school materials) that goes to Haiti and other black countries comes from white people? Did you know that whenever there's interracial adoption, you'll see black children being adopted by white parents? You RARELY see a white child being adopted by black parents. Imagine that!

People are racist. White people are by no means unique in this regard. In fact, while I certainly lack knowledge of the life in many countries the most racist country I know of is probably China. Japan is also quite racist as well. It is a widespread issue to be sure.
