What do you think could be a reason why I don’t care about the opinions of men I find physically unattractive?

One time this guy I personally find physically unattractive said to me “I think you are really pretty” and it didn’t make me feel good at all.

I didn’t find it gross or creepy it just didn’t make me feel good being called pretty by him

I'm not sure, I think some people are just that way. Like some women don't like when an unattractive guy looks at her butt as she walks by in public, but if he's cute she's gonna strut a bit and hope he wants it. For me personally I love female attention so even when a less attractive woman told me I had good looks it turns me on.

Of course you are only going to care about compliments from people who will directly benefit you, compliments by people you find undesirable mean nothing. No one, including myself, likes to be ogled at…especially by some unattractive or 50 year old individual.-speaking for me, I suppose.

I’ve had it happen before and no it doesn’t make me feel like anything. I’m just like “ok”. I just feel like there is no point to feel good about it if I find you unattractive.
