You say you know this, but that's not the same as you understand it. It's the same process makes baby boys different from baby girls, and baby people different from baby cats. Genetic programming is an instruction set for how to construct a baby to a particular design.

I'll give you a different example, but it comes with a caveat. Two dalmatian pups of the same breed are born in different litters to different dalmatian parents. They aren't linked, yet their genetic code says they'll be a white dog with black spots. That's how it works. If you're still confused then there's this thing called Google, it might have better explanations.
