I don't know if I watch the news too much but we're having so many problems at the same time. It seems like there's no ending for global issues. I know that our world has always been complicated, but now it looks like it only gets worse and worse.

But if you look at the actual statistics, the world is both safer, healthier, and freer that it has ever been at any point in history. Yet we would never know because the only stories we hear are the bad ones

1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Look back at the '80s where we were then and where we are now we are being taken for a ride we are losing more and more and more of our rights we are being manipulated and until the world until every country becomes one like we are all supposed to be but when you have big business and their ideas of how the world should be ran you're going to have this manipulation we are being manipulated each and every single day we are headed for a major major crisis putting people against people because one day the power grid will go out we will have no power without any power there's no food without food we are depending on our government once they get us where they want us we are all f***** until the day that we all come together and understand this nothing's going to change we can't just hope that it changes on its own because it's not going to it's going to get worse from the '80s to this day today look at everything that we have lost as rights as human beings in America we are the people but we lose that right every day the government doesn't want us the little people to be in control of them even anymore but we keep electing them they're in the good old boy system around the world and all these countries leaders knows the population just keeps growing and growing and growing and the government can be overran at any time they don't want that it's because of greed looked at all the elected officials in America each and every year each and every 4 years not one of them will stand up and dare to be great because they're part of the good old boy system the moment they get elected

I think the 80s were some of the best times ever for me anyway it is because I would experience everything I had friends we'd go lots of different places we would do a lot of things together and the world was just a whole different place it's nothing like it is now now I feel kind of confined and not free to do the things that he used to do in a roundabout way you would love the 80s the music just the people were different everything was different and I absolutely love that gag she's having the '80s party LOL

+1 yOil is limited. That’s fueling, punny, all of it. It drives a majority of costs for everything. Don’t forget the news makes things seem tens times worse on top of our imagination focusing on the negatives. 24/7 access to political content via phones makes it worse.

Yeah, imagine having the news in your pocket following you around wherever you go. In America, we’re addicted to over consuming and media is one such thing. It’s the American way. And it’s making people really irritable here, on top of all the costs.
Sure we could all put our phones down. But, everywhere you go, people are on their phones. Everywhere. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a city or in the sticks, it’s everywhere. I hate Steve Jobs sometimes.
6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Its important to remember that no matter how shitty things get, in a mere 80 years everyone making it shitty will be dead. I can't say whether or not future generations will decide not to be shitty, though. Shitty people are notorious for spreading their shit onto the young, making them shitty too. Good people are not notorious for their bottomless capacity to clean up that shit, so it's a little tilted in favor of "no."

+1 yThese are trying times indeed. But humankind has faced crisis and collapses in the past and it's still better to be alive in these tough times now than it was to be in relatively good times centuries ago.

Like when?
No, I believe human nature will take it's course with no belief in something greater than themselves. We can be so much worse than animals, being self aware. What reason do people have to not be evil (self serving) if there is no belief in something greater than the self?

01 Reply12.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. When has the world not been facing problems, kiddo?
The only difference is now we get told faster and up the minute.
Whereas before we had to wait 24 hours for the newspapers to print, or the radio/TV to broadcast.

10 Reply There will always be a crisis I think. Once one ends another will develop, that's just the way the world spins unfortunately 😔

Part of the reason for these unprecedented events is God's "endtime" Judgment on the nations for their wickedness

@Wade12345 King Jesus is ultimately our only hope in this reprobate world-gone-insane.
Yes, I will continue waiting, and will hope for a quick return
