Why does westerns have stereotype and misconception about India and Indians?

Probably because we see the stereotypes here in the US quite often; i. e., Indians who work in convenience stores, or those who own and work at cheap motels and hotels who let their properties deteriorate because they won't put money into capital improvements. We're aware there are quite a few Indians who work as accountants, as engineers, in tech fields and other professions, we just don't see them very often.

Indians are also known here for phone scams like tech support scams, and the IRS "we have a warrant for your arrest if you don't pay us (amount)" scams. Some of them aren't even very good at it; some numbers for these scams come up on my phone with a +91 country code before the number smh. We know there are quite a few good Indians who are great citizens (or visitors). Unfortunately, people more often experience the scammers and stereotypes.

Most people in the world are followers they don't even know who they are besides somebody in another country if they would stop and think about it your country is one of the oldest countries your country has some of the brightest smartest individuals ever and keep that going every single day I think your country is a good country they fight for what they believe in they are who they are and I think it's cool I think a lot of your beliefs the modern world should look at and understand them they don't have to believe in them if they don't want to but don't voice their opinion when they know nothing about what they're saying I think you have a great country and I say keep going forward the things that people invent over there are just unreal and have helped the whole world in growing and becoming bigger Minds and have helped us all in many many ways like I said keep going forward don't worry about what other people think

They stereotype cowboys, too. Aside from
Blazing Saddles, how many westerns had black cowboys? About 20% to 30% were black. The slapstick, comedy farce was actually more historically accurate than most westerns.
