Why does the radical left oppose Darwin's evolution theory?

Two courses on evolutional and biological approaches to human behavior were recently canceled at one of the French universities. The courses were already approved by the dean. However, they were canceled 12 days before the start of the semester. The request to terminate these classes came from the direction of PRESAGE, a research and educational program on gender studies at Sciences Po.

As far as I understand the situation its just someone who is very upset for being denied while trying to peddle scientific opinions that has gotten demolished by the scientific community for being wrong. Considering that the scientific consensus is basically taking a metaphorical shit on this whole course material I fail to see why it should be taught in any school, much less a university.

The fact that they are freaking out and yelling "WOKE!" just drives home that they had no business teaching in a prestigious establishment in the first place. Truly disgraceful.

It’s because their whole worldview is anti-nature. They don’t like to talk about genetics or biology because they prefer to believe (and would prefer everyone to believe) that everything has to do with social conditioning or social constructs.
