Guy Reffitt, the first Jan. 6 defendant to be convicted at trial, has been sentenced to 7.25 years in prison. Comments?

i'd rather see dangerous street thugs in prison that long or longer... given we have to make priorities on whom is incarcerated.

this one convicted of interfering with police in a riot, etc. etc.. gets 7 years. good grief. are you kidding me... and that wasn't happening at all the other riots prior?

again, find the people who are causing real problems on a daily basis, put them in jail. Stop wasting my money and time. I'm good giving him 20 lashes, pay a fine rather than pay several million to put him in jail.

I would say that beating a police officer with a metal pole, which he was videotaped doing, is a bit more than "interfering".
