It's propaganda for all sides involved. Yes it looks good for the US to openly stand against China and makes the administration look like it has more backbone, but this is happening while we are literally making an effort to cut Taiwan out of our supply chain needs, and Pelosi herself has exactly no role or authority in foreign diplomacy. In the meantime it gives China an excuse to deploy more ships to surround Taiwan. Everything you've heard on the news, both supporting and condemning her visit, is a fake screen to mask what has already been decided behind closed doors.
