Is the U. S. A. seriously looking at a potential war with China or is it just media hype for views and listeners?

It's currently a cold diplomacy war for global influence. China is betting on the United States to be more isolationist then building up infrastructure in developing nations to build a whole global pack. Very simpler to the NATO or EU but as an authoritarian leadership.

I honestly don't think it will get hot. Russia and North Korea are there strongest allies and proving themselves to be more of a liability then an asset in our modern day warfare. On top of that china buys the largest share of American debt into the trillions.

As the saying goes, " if you owe the bank $100 that's your problem, if you owe the bank $100,000,000 dollars that's the bank's problem."

So if a war breaks out good old uncle sam rips up a trillion dollar note day one. Usa is up a trillion and china's economy lost a lot of interest payments they can't afford with building out other countries.

Pride is honestly the greatest weakness to all right wing authoritarian regimes. Like Russia, North Korea, China. Though China holds there temper tantrums better then most. There is Taiwan that gets under Chinas skin.

Im curious if Taiwan will be the downfall of China in the same way Ukrainian is to Russia today.

History dosen't repeat but it rhymes. If Taiwan got support day one globally and China sanctioned day one globally.

This will surely have the unintended consequence of driving China and Russia, along with much of Eurasia, into closer cooperation against the US and will accelerate de-dollarization, which will cripple the USA‘s ability to project force. This stunt with Taiwan could cause any of the following: An increase in China’s support for the Russian side of the war in Ukraine, sanctions against the US with regard to strategic metals, passive aggressive slow pedaling of supply chain problems, and/or invasion of part or all of Taiwan.

The CCP already is at war with the US, but it isn't a shooting war, it's propaganda, bribery of politicians, use of economic leverage against corporations, industrial, scientific and military espionage and influence/psy ops. It's a one-way war, with the US doing virtually nothing about it (the Biden Administration even stopped any investigations into CCP espionage). Under these circumstances, why would the CCP risk a shooting war when their subversion is going so well already?

If you look up history of the korean war when China intervened on North Koreas behalf General MacArthur was said to have demanded nuking China. He got fired for it. Wonder how things would be now had they followed his idea.
