There have been punishments & laws against women’s promiscuity.

Today, I’d say a majority of the world has a negative view, both formal and informal, on sluts, hoes, and whores.

Jealousy may be our most primal instinct, more broadly referred to as our natural need. The idea is that the food, clothes, shelter, money, warmth, and women/men we have is ours and only ours. These things are only to be shared with who we choose to share them with. We are possessive; that's how we survived for years. It's how animals become strong and win over others. It is why political, social, and sexual relationships strangely have an underlying hierarchy. So to see women or men who have slept around with others, I use that word loosely in our minds that tarnishes the possessive look we have over them, even if that person wasn't even aware of your existence when they did those acts. And of course, even for people we aren't attracted to, seeing people breaking those molds brings us negative ideas of their morals and standards. We see them this way because they don't fit what we see as right. Of course, I believe we are well developed enough as a species to move past that and see how irrational it is. Now that the world is where we don't have to fight over everything, we don't have to worry about every person's actions because 99% of humans don't affect you. I hope we can just let people live and don't feel the need to shame them.

Originally, women offer faithfulness and judgement (which ensures the survival and growth of the species) while men offer their devotion and effort. The flip side of society hating sluts is that it also hates lazy men (but not lazy women).

It feels kind of odd

Like we all never left

I was sitting at the food court at main PX a few days ago thinking

“I was here about a year ago dreading going away for a close to one year deployment. How am I going to fare?”

There was a tinge of depression and sadness in me at the time.

This deployment when by super fast.

It was kind of historic for our unit too

Different parts of us when to Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia for a variety of missions.

I only went to 2 countries for SECFOR mission.

Can’t wait to buy my house and travel.

The two things that I was greatly looking forward to when coming back.
