Why do I get really bad anxiety when being in a circle of people my age?

It will change as you get older. I’m guessing you might be more mature? Luckily it won’t matter once you leave schooling age and go out into the world of mixed ages.

Thats where I am right now. I am 21, I work with different ages. And it is not often when I get to see people my age but once I go to hang out with my friends to the group of my age I get a real bad anxiety

At the end of the night, do you end up feeling happy you hung out?

Sometimes, if I had fun then yes and sometimes I feel like it was too much

Aside from any character traits which encourage this, perhaps you lack a basic trust in the people around you and a sense of belonging. Perhaps they've given reason for this or you sense these people to not meet your personal bar.

I can't say for sure if it's the same for you, but i continually think about what people think about my every action, and more people means more thinking and it makes me more anxious about being around them

Most likely you care too much about what they think of you, so you're more self-conscious around them.
