Like you think presidential approval ratings matter, as long as the majority agrees with you. When a president you don't like has low approval ratings, it's meaningful. When a president you like has low approval ratings, it's meaningless.

So called "ratings" and "polls" are always largely meaningless, kiddo.

Their only purpose is to shape opinion and peddle bias towards a position. Hence why you should always look at the funders and sources more than the results.

For example tobacco and sugar industries used to fund a lot of ads, studies and polls on the healthy benefits and status of people that use their products.
