Do political car decals piss you off?

So heading home from the gym today, I saw two drivers get into a heated exchange. One driver had “Fuck Trump” on his windshield, the other had “Joe Blows” on his rear windshield (Which I saw after he drove off). The Trump supporter driver was pulling into the opposite lane to drive up the hill to the store plaza, the biden supporter driving out. The trump supporter pulled his window down and started shouting profanities at the biden supporter, calling him a bitch, a n*gger lover (Swear to god I’m not saying that to paint conservatives in a bad light.) a commie, etc, then drove off. The biden supporter with the fuck trump logo then pulled a U-turn out of his lane and followed the trump supporter back up to the store plaza. I’m guessing they fought, but I don't know, I was heading out.

I'm not about to get into a fight over it, but I definitely stay well away from people with Fuck Trudeau or pro-oil patch stickers. They're also mostly truck drivers with poor lane control anyways, so I end up avoiding them just out of defensive driving habits.

It's mostly a quiet, personal sorta thing for me. I won't act on anything, but it does tell me to be wary of whoever I see coming out of that vehicle.

People with strong enough beliefs to display political hate stickers aren't really people I want or need to associate with. But it makes it easy to sort them out of my life, so it's handy more than anything.

I won't say it pisses me off but I don't understand it. I don't get why anyone wants to deface their car with stickers, political or otherwise. I also don't understand why anyone assumes that anyone else should care about their politics. I certainly don't.

I think anybody who identifies themselves by their political party, or treats politics in general like a professional sports team, has issues.

I don't care enough about another person's, and a stranger's, no less, political affiliation that I want to see it advertised on their car. They don't piss me off; I just think it's ridiculous.

Politics doesn't care who supports it, just that you support it without thinking. It's more like a cult to these people than they think religion is.
