Has wokeness gone too far?

It has in been in the "Too Far" area for at least 6 years. I don't understand why more people won't gather together to stop it. Wokeness is driven by a relatively small group of people. And the majority opposes it. But somehow the minority keeps winning. Maybe it's the media, maybe it's because the most powerful people are woke and threaten everyone below them. I don't know.

It's nothing to do with wokeness. He's simply pointing out modern young gardeners don't do things like flower shows and when on social media rarely use the term gardener.

So I looked up the article and this has nothing to do with wokeness. Though I did vote A on your poll. This is just not a good example of it.

The botanist-horticulturalist who wrote that article has been professionally in the industry for 20 years, and he is seeing plant shops that have closed down, in tandem with a much lowered interest in general. (People have moved to virtual hobbies, not in the physical world so much.)

However, I read about this last year... Millennials are actually very interested in plants, and are the drivers in a significant uptick in plant sales. And they are posting their photos online, spawning more interest.

The writer of the article says he doesn't see the word "gardening" being used as a hashtag. It's probably simply because it's dull, too obvious. Or maybe people associate gardening with an outdoor activity (I sort of do.) I think it's just a combination of these two factors. #plantdaddy is a hell of a lot more interesting than #gardening. Also, to have a garden, you have to have a house!

The writer was just not that great, tbh. That's all this is. One man, and some poorly conceived words.

People like plants. They die easily. Even my girlfriend who is an avid #plantenthusiast, regularly kills her. (It's not for lack of attention; it's probably over-watering, and lack of optimal light conditions in her condo.)

He made me out of this than he should have, and you're making more out of this than you need to. Wokeness is a problem. But, again, ain't relevant here.

It's been out of control and has gone too far since 2015 when we had whining students b*tching at their university deans and not getting expelled for it. (I got kicked out of university for far less.)
