Why are family-owned business reviled and huge corporations are loved?

Just read an article that made my blood boil. Basically, according to this so-called "expert", family-owned companies and groups are a "plague" while big corporations such as Amazon, Microsoft and Google are the "example" and bring progress and "equality".

Seriously, piss off - families like mine started with a shop or even less - my grandfather and his brother started literally with a cow and shack - and built their business over the years, producing work and progress, and now that they are millions worth businesses they somehow are a bad thing - while billions worth foreign companies are hailed as saviors. The double standard is staggering.
