What a joke, her first speech was literally made up of fake promises, she said she's gonna give us better health care more hospitals more everything while cutting taxes, I mean if this is plot to rob Africa then I'm in but if it's bogus it's bogus, and stop the immigrants jeez

I'm curious why the wire services are reporting that it was a close election when she received 80,000 votes and her opponent received 60,000 votes.

From what I've read, usually the election of a PM is a landslide, closer to unanimous

God help us all. All she does is vomit up empty populist soundbites with no explanation of how she'll achieve them. No doubt she'll retract on all her ideas now she's won. Apparently she wants to scrap speed limits on roads, I wonder how far that promise will go.

Miss Truss / Miss Trust sounds like a batman villain

According to her bio and her plans, she seems like a great candidate. I am not in the UK so I can't vote, but she has my support. She grew up with strongly liberal parents and managed to escape the toxicity and became a conservative. That's very brave and I applaud her. She supports libertarian policies. She is open to gay marriage but against radical trans people and other radical positions. She sounds great ✅

Correction: she became "a Conservative" but not "a conservative". British Conservative Party is closer to classical liberalism than to conservatism.
