Why should I vote republican?

I live in a blue state and they legalized weed and abortion and tbh I don't think republicans would support those things I enjoy.

Your state DIDN'T legalize weed. They CAN'T legalize weed; it's illegal by Federal law, which state law can't overrule. What your state did was to "decriminalize" weed, essentially saying "Yeah, we know it's illegal, but we're not going to enforce that law". Now yes, it's absurd that weed's illegal, and immoral that's SO illegal, and a state congress can't change federal law (except by voting for Federal politicians who'll change the laws), but it's still setting an INCREDIBLY dangerous precedent. I'm not inherently opposed to creating a fifth Box of Liberty, but that REALLY should be reserved for serious issues of major and immediate import- not weed.

Likewise, your state didn't legalize abortion- it COULDN'T'VE. An activity is only illegal if there's a law against it, and then Roe V Wade said states couldn't HAVE laws making it illegal, and then that got overturned because the Federal government doesn't have the right to overrule state legislatures on the issue. Your state simply didn't BAN it. It's the equivalent of saying your state legalized sunglasses or watermelon.

Those misunderstandings aside, you shouldn't vote Republican, because you shouldn't vote for a party, but for a candidate. Ideally, party wouldn't be a factor at all. Well, IDEALLY, they wouldn't even *exist* at all, but nobody except me and George Washington seems to understand that.

Not every republican politician is against those things. It's a stereotype. Not all black people are democrats. I am a republican / conservative and I support legalization of weed and abortion up to 12 weeks. Vote republican if they support what you want. If they don't, just skip the vote.

I bet you pay high taxes and there is a lot of crime. Is there enough electricity? How about drinking water? If you don't get the covid vaccine do you lose your job? Are they teaching your kids that all white people are evil and there are really 52 genders and not just two? These are all problems that seem to plague only democrat states. I suppose if you smoke enough weed it makes everything okay.

Vote your conscience and be prepared if the politician’s policies that you voted for doesn’t happen.
Do your research and be able to say that I voted for him or her!
