A federal judge ordered that “Cowboys for Trump” founder Couy Griffin be removed from his position as Otero County commissioner on Tuesday over his participation in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U. S. Capitol.

A New Mexico District Court Judge found that Griffin had engaged in insurrection during the Jan. 6 riot and was constitutionally disqualified from holding federal or state office, including his current position.

To be perfectly honest average American citizens have been putting up with weekly organised riots, assaults, intimidations, assaults on property and their freedom of movement by antifa, the BLM and others going back to the obama regime and politicians didn't care now they care all of a sudden when shit goes down at their place of work and near where they live. Was nice to see these politicians cowering for a change.

This is every day for average people. Businesses burned down, property destroyed, assaults, robberies... I mean not that long ago Antifa were blocking the road were I live kicking my truck and scrapping the bodywork. Had to drive straight through them to get away.

My city had riots across a few areas, with citywide curfews. Some assaults happened and businesses were vandalized and had their windows shattered.

The judge is wrong. If we read the debate over the provision, it was intended to be limited to Confederates during the Civil War, not to some yahoos more than 150 years later.
