I am not suggesting in any way, not praying for USA, Ukraine, or any other entity.
Although Christ said we should go into our most private room and lock the door when we pray, I'd rather see a president who is prepared to call on the country to pray for a potential enemy and possibly prevent a war that could easily go nuke and destroy America and Russia's civilisations and everything they touch.
Perhaps you'd like to see Australia as the most advanced civilisation and country in the world? New Zealand? South Africa? A nuclear war between the two would devastate Europe.
Maybe Saudi Arabia or Iran could take over America's role.
Armageddon. Judgement Day.
Or we can pray for peace.
When the bombs were falling in Kharkiv and Dnipro, I was praying for Ukraine with Ukrainian citizens who were hiding every single day.
I am not sure why anyone would suggest something nefarious about doing so.
I don't understand your answer. I think what you said is you'd think well of it. Is that right?
I am not getting what is so hard to understand.
We were praying while my friends were in the hallway of their apartment building every single night. The Russian army would wait until long after dark to start bombing. It was a way to increase the terror of the campaign.
So if we were praying over facebook, whatsapp, and viber, maybe we think prayer is a good thing for the victims in this war.
it's a good answer and glad you were praying as you did.
my question is if the president stated he was praying for Russia/Russians... would you be supportive of that.
I would approve of praying for the Russian people. If you mean the Russian leadership. I know I am supposed to be supportive. I don't know if I could be.
Yes. It's the russian president forcing his will on the Russians, they need love and prayers just as much as the Ukrainians
Russians deserve to die. Don't these killers say "do unto others as you want them do unto you?"
@joeldalton exactly. Last time russia invaded the world, they killed 60 million. Look it up, it officially says 60 million people died in WWII.
Back then the population of the world was 2.3billion, and today we have 8 billion.
That means 3.5 times more.
That war lasted 6 years, this was 8 months which is exactly 1/9th.
60 million times 3.5 is 210 million. So right now 210/9=23.3 million people died.
THE RUSSIANS KILLED 24 MILLION PEOPLE!
And dont pretend you don't know how math works because you wrote the "8 months" yourself.
I pray that 24 million russians die today.
The game's the game, I'm not a fan of Russia but they're doing great things for themselves and that's all that matters, I'd like to see Europe and the USA do something like that for a change

If it was Biden, no. Because it'd be 100% disingenuous to the point of being disrespectful. (I'm not religious, but it is.) The US president is one of the few people who could directly do something to help them, and all he'd give is empty words and platitudes? No, piss off, jackass.
However, I'd just keep quiet anyway and not be "that asshole" in the room that verbally points out what we're all thinking anyway. So imma say "Other."
I am no saint but I do have Christian beliefs. So if the prayer if genuine I would support anyone doing it. Even it’s someone I completely detest: Biden.
No, because that is pure politics and insincere as hell. That is pure show and disgusting. I'm not religious, but this makes a mockery of religion using it in that way.
What if he said he prays with his staff or in private... which is how the Bible seems to instruct. he is a catholic after all...
Simply saying he prays is not a big deal. Doing it publicly is just show. Same goes for anyone who prays publicly. I think it should be a very private matter and never showy.
good point, agree.
Yes. Do not care who or why. It is the right thing to do.
I would be wondering what special group he was pandering for votes from
Prayer is never a bad thing. Talking to God is a priority
I'm more concerned this "invasion" has been going on for 8 months.
