Why are women kissing their female friends normalised but men kissing their male friends isn't?

Women are usually affectionate whereas men are usually not.

When women kiss it's still kind of.. I can't find the right word to use but I personally don't think much of it because most women are lovey-dovey like that. They hold hands and snuggle and cuddle etc.

However when men kiss I can't help but be a little shocked for lack of a better word, because it's rare enough to see men hug other men and I mean a real hug not a "man hug".

It hasn't been normalized at all. I still get stares when I kiss my girlfriend in public.

I think it's just that women are affectionate by nature. They hug their friends (male and female), I've seen that as a child, they're also the ones that show the most affection towards their children. A lot of my female friends kiss me on the cheek on certain occasions.
