In context of the issue in question, there is an island today with too much renewable energy to handle. We should make that happen accross the globe. The only people holding us back is right wing people.

A turbine needs 60 acres per megawatt. So to power NYC you need 4x the amount of land as the city occupies.

Oh, and you need constant wind.
