I was thinking about totalitarian ruling and how their basis of ruling is concerned with the safety of the people. In this case, 'safety' means the people can be shaped into what kind of 'safety' defined by the government. Not only in government, in business, parent-child relationship, relationship in marriage, taking care of your home, etc. all of them may want safety

And then, I don't think safety can be achieved. Feeling of safety is not the same as an actual safety. Should then we control ourselves? How much safety is enough? What's the scope of such safety? And I curious on what people might direct the conversation by question of different kind. That's when I type down my question.

How do you cope up with not knowing that you can be safe?

Do you have any problem that's rooted in the desire to be safe? Or maybe you have someone around that's becoming problematic because of such desire?

I have an OCD friend who is over the top with the safety BUT she always closes loose ends at work as well as unseen issues. Was also on Safety staff from independent gun men that may attach her workplace. One could have been Muslim in first 15 year job. Now would be s redneck type.

I live in Germany, I have never felt anything but safe, even when walking at night through practically every major city there is.

I just bought a handgun and shotgun and I have been going to the range to practice. I feel more safe after I learned how to shoot.

Why do you ask? What exactly are you taking about?

Nothing. Everything. I just put them down from my mind, curious what people would continue from there. I was thinking about totalitarian ruling and their kind, it seems their narrative rooted in being 'safety'. Something I don't really believe able to be achieved in real life. By upholding perceived safety, unseen threats are more trained to lurk.
Anyway, good follow up. Knowing better about the situation at hand would help in guessing how much safety is enough.
