Have you ever encountered a “First Amendment Audit/Auditor”? If so, what was the outcome?
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment_audits
I've come across/seen 7 of them so far since working with the Sheriff's Office. Most of them are idiots who do not know the limits of the 1st Amendment, but two of them actually knew what they were doing.
I like the idea of what they are doing because they are trying to protect a Constitutional right. However, the people themselves are often uneducated and misunderstand the 1st Amendment. As a member of law enforcement, I am all for the protection of the Bill of Rights (ALL OF THEM INCLUDING 2A) and people standing up for them, but I wish people would actually know what those rights actually mean.
Law enforcement personnel definitely bear the brunt of these guys, and I agree, most are idiots and quite annoying. I've been pretty well schooled in 1A since we had to deal with WBC protests at funerals for years. I'm not one to get belligerent and refuse to ID if a LE officer approaches me and asks for it. I'd much rather take the civil cooperate/graduate approach, get whatever needs to be resolved, resolved so that we can all be on our merry way without showing up on social media.
Not personally; however, I do so enjoy watching them get the crap knocked out of them.
Usually it has nothing to do with their taping something; rather, their extremely poor choice of time, place, etc.

"Encountered"?
Well yeah, I've represented a couple who are well known on YouTube. If you've watched any "auditor videos" on YouTube you've seen my boys. Personally I love them. They pay me $365 per hour to defend them against their trespassing/failure to ID/Obstruction charges.
The outcome 99.99% of the time is acquittal if the DA even accepts the charges. Most won't as what the auditors do is Constitutionally protected speech, and NC has a Journalist Shield Law that protects them. The only time my boy was ever found guilty, he thought the property line was in a different place than it was, so he actually was trespassing when he refused to leave.
I do not know what that is... but it sounds FISHY AS HELL.
Is that an actual job? Can we have a 2nd amendment safety specialist?
I have no idea what that is.
It’s a movement, this should explain. These guys like to publish their antics on YouTube and TikTok

Doesn't sound like much of a "movement", but rather a small number of people with nothing much better to do.
