Why the education system of the USA sucks?

I don't call the citizens stupid, but very ignorant and uneducated. I have seen many videos of which they can't answer basic questions, even on their own country.

Because corporations pay lobbyists millions of dollars to keep America a nation of uneducated sheep watching CNN all day long in order to control the population through mainstream media propaganda, lies, and slander against those who don't fall in line and kowtow to the Powers That Be (which explains all the Trump hate, as well as the people stupid enough to be brainwashed into having Trump Derangement Syndrome).

In short, you can't control a population of smart, free-thinking individuals. Even George Carlin said this in the late 70s and 80s. That was 40+ years ago!

Our education system produces the most competitive citizenry which as a result grants us the world's largest economy, world's strongest military, and word's most innovative researchers. Actions speak louder than words. It would appear that you are measuring education systems incorrectly since you think the country with the best outcomes, has a horrible education system.

It's even arguable that our education system creates the best cultural since our entertainment industry is so pervasive around the world. People from all over the globe watch American movies and TV shows, listen to American music, play American video games, follow American fashion trends, etc.

Our education system also produce the best athletes. America has consistently been the all time Olympic Games medal leader. Additionally people from all over the world strive to make it in American professional sports leagues. How can an education system you rate so low, produce a population that excels in so many diverse areas of civilization?

Think about it... Do you an entire nation of mathematicians that score high on standardized tests to run a country well, or do you need many different types of people with many different talents to compete to be the best where they fit in?

It is an indoctrination system here, not an education system. The people with good, moral, intelligent parents that also happened to get some good teachers while growing up end up intelligent, while the people with stupid immoral parents and/or teachers often end up very stupid and ignorant.

I blame the teachers unions and their relationship to the democrats. I teach at a local college and I sometimes assign a termpaper. Some of these kids cannot write in complete sentences. I do not blame them, I blame the failing school systems that have attended.
