I'm retired, but do occasional side work in construction.

I just planted some cool weather seeds for carrots, radishes and lettuce. Although it might be a bit early for that if we have a hot spell. These are all small crops that I grow in several recycled coffee cans.

For the last couple of months I've been trying to figure out how to teach English to beginner adults. I don't know any of their language and they are only slowly learning English. I have no idea what I'm doing but I got talked into it. Last week I went to a restaurant with my first student. She talked in English to someone besides me for the first time when she ordered. She was nervous going in but she did fine. I was so proud of her.

1. Working out at gym and getting my diet back on track. I have a sweet tooth that is hard to fight and I want to lose this stubborn belly fat that will not budge !!

2. More reading- when I was in high school and college I used to read a lot of books. Over the past ten years I have read only a handful of books - but as of late I have read three books and am finishing up a fourth. My goal is to read at least 20 books by June 30th of 2023. One can find many things online but nothing seems to beat a good old fashioned page turner. I have about 8 books that I bought over the past 5 years and have them collecting dust in my closet. I now have them on my living room table and have started to read them one by one.

1. I’ve been to a restaurant to book a table for Christmas Day and pay the deposit.

2. I then went onto a garden centre to have a look around for some ideas for my garden.

3. On my back home I called into my little local town to buy a pair of cheap jeans for work. Also I picked up a diary and calendar for 2023.

4. I’m now currently at home here on GaG, and doing housework in between.

So, enjoying my day so far.

Finally getting away from retail silver (still be in the high end flips and scrap probably do decent sized commission deals)
