Because they have a better life that they desire. Better standard of living, food, quality of life and experiences. Look at all society and middle class can attain when they follow good standards of life! AA people read the statistics of safety, crime, quality schools like every one and they want that for their kids and want to be accepted. In my experience, they generally are if not championed at times.

But over time there's a saturation of mixing of peoples and cultures, there's bound to be bad apples in parenting, personalities, cultures... conflicts... and the color difference between "white" and "black" is great, the history is there... and issues arise. It only takes a few to create problems. The cultural issues around AA then become a problem as it has propagated to white/hispanic as well... inability to discipline in school leads to problems later in life. It's all about parenting...

as well, when people leave "the hood" or appalachia (caucasians) and such, they often drag it with them emotionally and deposit it in their new place of residence. It takes work to change and the older someone is the harder it is to let go of their own prejudices and experiences and bad behaviors. The "hood" is worse than the perceived "racist" people they are around.

That said... I see this in "Chinatown" usa... aka, NYC... which is largely run by China and chinese $. Black people have been there for a while and are being kicked out, because they don't get the education (relative to chinese or Indian kids that are pushed within the family units to succeed), the support from home, they don't get the funding via China and the system, and their culture sometimes is crap... not always. Many NYC schools, especially high schools are garbage and those with $ escape to protect their kids futures. Black/AA do seem frustrated, dismayed... and there's always a powder keg below that kinda tension if they cannot get the jobs and keep up. Some do ok or great, many don't. Where they gonna get a job in china town... not happening? And thus you see some innocent chinese people paying the price these days. It's parents, the liberal schools, idiot black leftist leaders, and media that are the cause of so much human destruction.

Most of the immigrants tend to embrace the culture of their new homes because the culture of their old home is a huge part of what made them leave.

People from primarily black countries tend to be very humble and well-mannered.

I met a student from nigeria who was here for advanced classes.

He was learning English and was very confused why white people looked uncomfortable when he made jokes about how dark his skin was.

I explained racism to him and he said “oh! My country has no racism because we are all the same color. So, instead of hating eachother for our skin, the people there hate eachother for where their house is built.”

Which means these were problems that showed up long before you or I were even born.

Because our ancestors refused to settle it themselves and just kept passing the burden down.

Don’t you think it would make more sense to patch it up instead of make it our grandkid’s problem?

Heavily depends on how either complimentary or contradictory those cultures are. Expecting men, who come (as an example) from societies where a woman is seen as a 2nd grade human that's designed to cook, clean and fuck, it's very unlikely he's going to view women in any different light. Moreover, he may develop resentment towards local women that for some unknown to him reason aren't bowing down to him at his whim.

There were times (in US, for example) when immigrants during mass immigration were forming their own enclaves in order to preserve their native cultures, which lead to a paradox where these enclaves eventually would become even more conservative than the country they came from. Hence why expressions of the time "Italians in the US are more Italian than Italians in Italy", "Irish in the US are more Irish than Irish in Ireland", "Indians in the US are more Indian than Indians in India" etc., as their home country moves on and slowly and surely develops, while they're stuck in a timeframe of their departure. And it took them quite a few generations to change that. And while Italians and Irish may have indeed embraced local culture eventually, it was mainly achieved due to their cultures at the core being complimentary to each other. While in plenty of Indian households, "old ways" are the way of life.

And the bigger the difference in culture (I'm not talking about something as shallow as food or dress, but rather social rules, general mindset and the way of thinking), the fewer chances that they're going to integrate. Heck, in Germany as of right now there are parallel societies that stem from 90s, predominantly due to Turks not wanting to integrate into German culture, as it's quite contradictory to their values. Very soon it'll be also huge amount of Arabs and others that don't care about anything German. The same strongly goes for Pakistanis in the UK, for example, that don't give a flying fuck about British culture or values whatsoever. Moreover, they genuinely believe that it's Germany/UK that should adopt their culture/religion, while clearly being oblivious as to why their parents (or they themselves) have left their native country to begin with. I've studied in the UK in my youth, I know what I'm talking about.
