Black people call themselves the N word but I don't see other groups doing it. Arabs don't call each other Towel-Heads, Latinos don't call each other Sp1cs/Wetbacks, Asians don't call each other ch1nks, Jews don't call each other k1kes, Native Americans don't call each other Redzkin, Indians don't call each other curry-sweat, Eskimos don't call each other Igloo-Fuckers, Polynesians don't call each other Head-Hunters. Australian Aboriginals don't call each other Boongs. Polish people don't call each other Polshits, white Americans don't call each other crackers, and the list can keep going and going.

I AM NOT trying to offend anyone, I am just trying to understand the cultural difference. Why are black people the only group where many of them use a past racial slurs in a positive way? Why aren't other groups doing it? What is different in the black community that made them use a negative word with their own spin while other ethnic groups just don't use it at all? What's the cultural difference that separates blacks from other groups? When words have been use to insult certain groups, other groups don't try to reclaim racial slurs, they just bury the slurs and never use it again. Blacks from the USA try to reclaim the word and make it Hip and Cool. Not trying to offend but I can't help but notice this.

Ok history lesson time... slavery originally had nothing to do with race. slavery is the result of war. The winners took pows. and instead of massacring them they used them as work force it was also economically profitable to own slaves and race was irrelevant. race based slavery became a thing bcs black people were labeled as "strangers" or those other people. Robert E. Lee was also a United States Army officer, he wasn't at all fond of slavery, and by most metrics was actually a good person. The only reason he sided with the Confederacy was because he considered himself a Virginian. And again, this, "white Americans" statement is in and of itself prejudicial.
