What's more pathetic, the attempts by the right to appropriate or slander the legacy of MLK?

Are they really appropriating and slandering Dr. King or does the left hate it when they use him to call out how racist the left is when they constantly call skin color to attention as a way to determine their "privilege" (whatever the hell that means, the left cannot seem to make up its mind) and if it is the origin of how "fragile" and "rageful" they might be when the left openly defies the norms already set by Dr. King with thunderous applause from those who supposedly want civil rights for everyone?
Not to mention any other norm that people flee from various countries with dictatorships found that made the US a far better place to live.
MLK discussed white privilege.

At his time, that made sense. Nowadays, when racism isn't anywhere near as culturally and legally enforced anymore if at all, you'd have to really grasp at straws to prove that it is still there. Corrupt policing is pretty much as serious of an issue as the progressives can come up with and it is still hard to prove that black people are being specifically hunted by cops because 1. There is nothing in their protocols that says that they must go after them and 2. more white people than black are getting shot by the police, you'd think that the trend would be the reverse if they truly were on a mission to hunt black people.
Other talking points just mainly boil down to representation in media but, again, unless you can find some manifesto that specifically targets minorities, there is no proof that there is some conspiracy to keep them out of those fields. To me, it sounds like a population thing. Because there are more white people in the US, you're going to find more white people in the media. Same with if you go to countries where the dominant race is not white like Japan, India, China or even African countries and you are white. You're not going to get representation in the media there not because there is a racist conspiracy to keep other races out, its probably because they are more likely to have people of that race willing to be in said media. I strongly doubt that those who have died due to lynching would see any of that kind of thing to be oppression even if it is true that the media is restricting the amount of minorities that get to participate. Isn't that what Affirmative Action and diversity quotas aiming to do anyway except for the targets being what our culture counts as not a minority?
If you look at educational achievement, poverty and incarceration rates, there is a huge disparity between the races. MLK didn't just want to achieve equality and let everything sort itself out, he wanted policy that would undo the past affects of racial injustices because asking people to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps isn't enough.
Have you ever considered that it is anything else? I mean, most of this could be explained with the fact that the majority of black families have only one parent at least as a contributing factor, in which white people cannot realistically have any part of.
It seems like the left just looked at this, jumped to conclusions and blamed white people not because they have any interest in solving the problem but to worsen the relations between the races for no reason.
I considered and looked into it further and realized it was nothing more than victim blaming.

The parents could leave each other but that doesn't mean that they won't continue to play a role in their child's development.
Not really:

And as I pointed out, that's not more prevalent in black communities than in others.
We do know that:

This site is a manipulative. All but the last statistic that was mentioned covers all races not just black fathers and most of them don't really mean much.
1. Just because someone says that parenting is an essential part of their identity does not mean that the part is not missing for whatever reason. Sort of like if you lost a job that you liked a lot, you would probably feel sad or angry because the job is an essential part of your identity.
2. This seems to be true but the website it cites says: "About half of black fathers (47%) are living apart from at least one of their children ages 17 or younger, and 36% are living apart from all of their children. Far lower shares of Hispanic (26%) and white (17%) fathers are living apart from one or more of their children".
3, 4 and 5. Again, just because they say they want to be home or apply these things does not mean that they are able to do that.
6. If you looked at the actual source: the CDC mentions just before the statistics that "there was a significant difference by Hispanic origin and race among fathers with coresidential children" meaning this only applies to fathers who live with their children which, as stated in a previous source, isn't as common for black fathers.
The CDC report also indicated that parents with lower educational attainment are less likely to be coresidential with their children so if poverty causes absentee fathers, claims that fatherlessness leads to low educational achievement are at the very least overblown because you're blaming a cause (historic disenfranchisement leading to lower educational success and fatherlessness) on fatherlessness itself.
The only remnant of Jim Crow is the very fact that African Americans were in these impoverished areas in the first place, that's it. Other than that, there is nothing that is stopping African Americans from being successful in life that isn't afforded to other races
Stop trying to make opressions that people today have never experienced an excuse for why they might not do as well in life as they could have and especially fir holding animosity towards the group of people the state scapegoats as the party being responsible for said oppressions.
I could argue that, using that logic, because my fathers before me fought in past wars, I should be able to steal their valor to justify the struggles of my life and to hold animosity towards people who have race or national origins from the countries that we fought against. However, I will be referring to them as whites and Asians because they all look the same, right? Therefore, they're all responsible for my opression.
But this won't work, as it shouldn't.
"The only remnant of Jim Crow is the very fact that African Americans were in these impoverished areas in the first place, that's it. Other than that, there is nothing that is stopping African Americans from being successful in life that isn't afforded to other races"
Being born into a poor community means it's more likely that you will be poor; so yeah, that is stopping African Americans from being as successful as other races. And if you saw the MLK video, I linked, asking them to pick themselves up by their bootstraps isn't a viable way to change that.
That’s only because we are talking about a completely different era when that was legal.
Also I didn’t say that they are just as successful as other races, I’m saying that the problems that they face aren’t something only they can experience. Any other race can live in poverty and it sounds like you are truly arguing that it is impossible for races other than African Americans to live in poverty.
Any race can live in poverty but it is a much more prevalent issue in the black community because of racist policies.

N. b. I have a right voting black friend and I know his family as well, they have voted conservative for at least the 3 generations I've met (his great-grandparents are late members of the Windrush generation) his grandparents voted for MacMillan and Douglas-home, they were successful this inspired his parents to vote for Thatcher, guess what they are successful and his votes have been for May and Johnson, a surprise to the weakened liberal mind I know but he is also successful
Wow, way to pull a motte and bailey dumbass.
Better than voting for the left-wing with their plans to commit genocide and constant bunking in with terrorists and that's before you get to their shitty economic plans, pro-slavery, proud anti-semitism and wealth confiscation ideals but that kinda thing turns leftists on along with the habitual and chronic inability to do anything but be lazy
If I had the option I'd give one half of the planet to the left and the other to the right, and she what happens in say 25 years
The left would turn into a democrat city with women chucking their babies outta skyscrapers and grown men soiling themselves and the right would probably be some kind of empirical powerhouse like medieval China or the Dutch East India company
Oh the debunked welfare causes laziness argument; seriously?

So you're denying everything is what I here
*Hear* it's too late and I'm not sober enough for this

If the left was serious about helping minorities they claim to care about every election the inner cities that they control completely wouldn’t be run down, full of poverty, unemployment, crime and drugs.
And if you weren't so myopic you'd know that crime and unemployment have plagued Black America long before the great migration from the rural south to the major cities.
I've never seen anyone slander MLK, your bias is showing again, did you miss your Christmas bonus so you decided to go above and beyond and grasp for straws?
The "Right" doesn't do that, nice try... but you'll have to find better "Bait" to start a fight...
How are they appropriating him?
