I didn't get what you are talking about until I read the whole thing. You are right about that. It is a lot more complicated. There was always friction between the parties but now it is the democrats, media, academia, and big tech VS, the MAGA Republicans and the taxpaying citizens. These two groups really do not have much in the way of common ground.
