Yes and no. My mom is very conservative (Trump all the way for her), my stepdad is right in the middle, my dad is somewhat a Trump supporter (not as conservative as my mom), and my stepmom is pretty much the same as my own mom but without all the Trump hysteria (her own mom is liberal though). My ancestry is absolutely conservative, no matter if you count my dad's parents or my mom's deceased parents. Even some of the "Trump haters" on my dad's side are somewhat conservative (minus my very slightly older stepsister). I don't know a single Democrat on my mom's side.
I'm conservative, but I can't wait to see a progressive right-wing party. Our ideology is so cucked.
Although my stepdad is a centrist, he does not like Biden at all. Oddly enough, I'm more conservative than him but I like Biden to some degree.
Okay intressting so different views in same family:)
God no. I scare the shit out them sometimes with how disrespectful I am. Because their views aren't worth respecting. They think just having an opinion and being brave enough to share it means that deserves credence. And I'm like, pffffffffffft.
Mother is liberal core with conservative shell. Dad is hard to read because he has a centrist demeanor but he's getting more conservative in his old age. My richer relatives don't really give a fuck about politics living their lives. They're the sheep. The poorer ones were left leaning a few decades ago, but that isn't the case nowadays.
Oh not good its creating conflct👀
I’m not creating conflict, they are. All they have to do is listen, to meeeeeeeee. I have spoken.
In all seriousness, it’s happening all over the country and people are starting waking up. They are talking, and yelling, crying, joking, gaslighting, dog whistling. Might have an occasional grilled hot dog and potato salad or something in between the “festivities”.
I see:)
I am more of an anarchist in thar I think all governments are evil, but some form is necessary to prevent greater evil or suffering. The worst thing is collectivism combined with coercion.
My family just is either apathetic or play into the traditional political parties. I think their opinions are mostly ignorant and hypocritical.
Okay so you lean more left?:)
I used to think of myself as that, but it's actually the opposite. I am anti-left now. They are self destructive and extreme. Can't say I am pro-right.
I despise Trump, but the left scares me so much, I hope he wins if he's the other choice. That's pathetic and sad how bad the left has become.
Okay intressting!:)
My moms side yes. My dads side is violently conservative so it’s a hard pass there.
Alright:)
It's vice versa with me.
@InsecureLivesMatter I can’t even be around my cousin and his friends or it turns into a damn fight 😂

Mostly or at least we tend to vote much the same. I remember growing up my parents were both democrats. I've always had Republican ideals since Clinton was president. Which is about the time I first started getting interested in politics. Since then basically my entire family (except for my 3rd oldest sister) have come to the right. I always felt my parents were natural fit for the right anyhow. My father always used to say "I don't make enough money to be a Republican". But I think they eventually came to the realization that the Democrat party stopped championing the working class long ago.
Cool! Glad they realized it!
Yes I´m kind of in the middle between my sister that is very progressive and my parents being conservative. I can agree with either of them in certain topic while disagreeing with both of them in others. It gets to debates sometimes but it never destroyed a relationship in the family.
Alright thats nice! Some commen ground then:)
They rarely talk about politics in the West at least so I'm not sure about their views. Politics in here is, everybody has a point we just wait I don't care about the politics here that much. Unlike in the west/first world countries, they make small issues of big one. My cousins however talk about politics in the West and I most likely disagree with their views.
Okay thats understandble:)
Were almost from different generations anyways. I'm older than them. My mindset is somewhere in between Gen Z and Y
Yeah I know. I still remember the thick TV we had in the kitchen😂 A LOT has changed the last 13 years lol.
Yeah except my oldest cousin in their circle is 20. Well my "brother" is one of them and 22. I don't really join them that much but I join my older brother and older cousins.
Yeah it makes sense
Different family members have different views on different topics. Some are registered Democrats, some are registered Republicans, and some are Independent. That said, no one is a Socialist so everyone votes against the Democrats even the Democrats.
No. They even made fun of me caring about the early covid19. Then mom dies in her sleep from not breathing then suddenly they give a fuck and following my lead.
wow!👀
@rigmarole no my parents we're better at dating and living separately. Also my dad had a broken leg close to the hip. He couldn't use a toilet by himself.
So stress from my dad getting hurt. Owning a restaurant that was not as profitable as it should have been with prices set back in 2010. Then getting covid19 working the restaurant as long as she could.
@rigmarole it happened in July 2020. I've grieved by trying to understand what was happening just before because the autopsy cause of death on the death certificate was "NO DEFINITE ANATOMIC OR TOXICOLOGICAL OF CAUSE OF DEATH IDENTIFIED."
My mother was the only person i cared about during the lockdowns because she really cared for the funeral Potlatch in alaska native culture. My greatest fear was myself dying in some stupid way like a car crash and my mother not able to grieve properly because the lockdowns. Frozen for like a year when the proper way is within a week. I know we as individuals we can't do much but maybe that little bit could have saved our family.
So you sir can eat shit and die for all i care about.
@naultd ignore him. I'm sorry for your loss. May your mother rest in heaven❤️
Yes I understand it's hurtful. Try to stay away from those people if you can
I'm on this website to pick fights so it's fair to get hurt. Maybe they see this and say i should care before it directly impacts myself. Or even rigmawhat might be at a crossroads to give a fuck before its too late and does right for his own is good enough for me to get hurt like this.
Not with my immediate family but with the majority of my extended family.
👍🏻
Usually people adopt the ideologies that their parents instilled in them. My family was not conservative. And I also grew up that way, and my political thoughts developed in this direction.
I come from a family of liberal democrats and I'm a little democrat. Plus my aunt was a hippie that attended Woodstock and I use to be a hippie that protest
No. I'm right wing and my parents are left wing.
Same!:)
😂👍🏻
No, but we never let that come into discussion in our house.. That's personal we believe💀
Hmmm intressting🤔
You know they are already ruining the nation, why ruin our family's vibe too right? LOL
Hahaha yeah fair enough!
I used to but I think it's changed a bit as I've gotten older.
Yea they don't give too many fucks about politics just like me lol
Yes, my wife and kids are all pretty conservative. My oldest son is a big Trump supporter.
Your son sounds pretty smart. Maybe someday he can explain to liberals what conservatism actually means. The liberals on this site don't have a clue what it means.
That's pretty impressive. I wonder if his company would hire Biden?
i have no idea, we never talk about that subject
Intressting
Pretty much. Yes.
Nice:)
To a T. It's quite remarkable. I'm a centrist and the rest of my family are conservatives. I'm not as far to the right as they are, but we all hate the woke left and our current jerk off of a Prime Minister so we all get quite well.
No my father is 65 and very Liberal.
I see. Are you both okay with each others views?👀
He lectures away about Conservatives and the Republican party buy the state and city he raised us in has been mostly democrat for like 30 years. Its full of crime, over tun with illegals, high taxes, low wages and high unemployment. Like he and my mother were given a really good house by my mother's father and they both worked careers for the state and federal government but because of the house's now prime location due to very wealthy liberal elites buying up all the property to build holiday homes local taxes are being put up by the town and locals can barely afford to pay their rent or mortgages let alone these taxes. A neighbour recently got the home he's owned for 50 years seized because he couldn't pay local taxes. My father always believed when you owned your home nobody could take it from you like that, not the case, he trys to blame Conservatives but at election time its Democrats getting voted in. I live in texas, like a lot of people I grew up with just couldn't afford to start a life and family where I grew up.
Wow! I see! So kinda different views you two have.. hope your relationship is okay at least!
Not too bad. He's big on gun control and no guns but he's their place has been broken into 3 times and they got beaten pretty badly at least once.
Wow thats scary!
No, my family are mostly leftists
I dont do politics
Not the same
Do they accept your views?:)
Yes, because I accept their
Cool!:)
We not really political people.
I do
Yup.
