not really. i just chose something that resinated with me and what i want to see in my day to day life and how everything is run. it so happens to be the same as my mom and dad. but my brother is the opposite. we still have minds and opinions of our own, political wise.

i just know that every single time a certain party was in charge/office, my life was miserable. and i can see why i vote for the other guys. because i am happy and thriving with the other party. it's really interesting how others have the opposite view as mine. but i don't nag them for their opinions at all. but they sure do let it be known they hate what i believe in. i just shrug my shoulders and go about my day, waiting for the next election.

I would be lying if I said my upbringing and the values my parents have taught me haven’t had a huge influence on my political views but as I got older we do differ on some views and that’s fine. We all, my parents, my brothers and I, live very different lives, politically speaking but do have the same basic values we were brought up with. I actually think they’re proud of that. We have each become individuals but still believe in our family values.

I want as minimal of a government as possible and more fiscal responsibility with the money they warrantlessly seize from us. I don't want a government concerned with "family values" because not every family has the same values. I don't want my hammer or cabinet saw concerned with family values either, because they similarly are tools and I just want them to do their job.

my father was a WW2 vet and loved America. He was a small business owner and the son of immigrants, legal immigrants. He would hate to see how Biden and the democrats are pissing all over this country.

I guess I might get it from him but I think it has more to do with the common sense I inherited from him.

so, my approach to society is not a political one but one of common sense and decency for everyone... and this to a healthy limit, of course

As a Christian, was taught about God at an early age and that was the foundation of my political views. However been influenced by what I have learned on my own as I experience life.

Just good old common sense for most part. Keep my mind on is it reasonable or not. Keep my religion out of my political opinion and I always ask myself how would I like to be treated under the same circumstance.

My political views were largely shaped by witnessing both parties enthusiastically bail out the big banks and give away massive funding to corporations during the financial crisis in 2008-09. I was never partisan after that.

I vote for whoever is gonna be the best one for the job, just like how most companies hire people. Party has nothing to do with it.
