The coup d'etat against the constitution and liberty started with 911. Since then, the U. S. as become more and more of a dystopian police state. It doesn't resemble the America I lived in for the previous 47 years. People who were born after 1990 have no idea what freedom feels like.

If they were young or grown adults in the 1970's, they would have to think they died and went to heaven compared to now. They have no clue what freedom really could be. It's like they're fighting for some great freedom when it's come and gone. We'll never see those days again. How damn sad. At least you and I have our memories huh!☮️

We are gradually losing our rights and liberties. I fear what America will look like 25 years from now if it keeps heading the same direction it’s currently heading. It’s sad because we actually have the potential to be a utopia but we are letting the most incompetent leaders guide us to a dystopian state.

Even if we just look at one state like California which used to be a state of great prestige, it’s now a laughing stock governed by a kakistocracy that doesn’t care about its people.

There are a lot of things about it that never even entered people's minds 25 years ago. There are aspects of our society that have gone completely mad. There are things that make me shake my head and wonder how something so utterly crazy could possibly happen. It's like living in a weird surrealistic dream.

Parts of it yes, I lived and worked in the US for ten years and the West Coast from Mexico to Canada has changed beyond recognition, politically and how people respond to others the same can be said for Chicago and New York, though people in the 'fly over' states do not seen to have changed at all, I noticed the change during a visit just after Covid had eased and I was visiting friends.
